Natlan Ascension Materials Farming Guide 2026: Fastest Route for All Characters (Local Specialties + Enemy Drops)
I raised Mavuika, Mualani, Xilonen, and Kinich to 90 in the same week and I never want to see another Saurian again. This guide is the optimized route I figured out after wasting probably three hours teleporting back and forth between the same farming spots because I didn't plan the order properly.
Every Natlan character's material checklist at a glance
Each Natlan character needs three things for ascension: a local specialty (168 total for 1→90), an enemy material drop (varying amounts), and elemental gemstones (from world bosses). Here's the full table so you know what you're farming before you start:
Mavuika: Withering Purpurbloom (local) + Saurian Tooth (enemy, all types) + Agnidus Agate (gem, from Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant)
Mualani: Sprayfeather Gill (local) + Saurian Tooth (enemy) + Varunada Lazurite (gem, from Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King)
Xilonen: Brilliant Chrysanthemum (local) + Saurian Tooth (enemy) + Prithiva Topaz (gem, from Secret Source Automaton: Configuration Device)
Kinich: Quenepa Berry (local) + Saurian Tooth (enemy) + Nagadus Emerald (gem, from Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King, shared with Mualani's boss)
Citlali: Withering Purpurbloom (local, same as Mavuika) + Saurian Tooth (enemy) + Shivada Jade (gem, from Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant, shared with Mavuika's boss)
Chasca: Dracaua Bat Flower (local) + Saurian Tooth (enemy) + Vayuda Turquoise (gem, from Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant)
Kachina: Brilliant Chrysanthemum (local, same as Xilonen) + Saurian Tooth (enemy) + Prithiva Topaz (gem)
Iansan: Dracaua Bat Flower (local, same as Chasca) + Saurian Tooth (enemy) + Vajrada Amethyst (gem)
Notice how almost everyone needs Saurian Teeth. That's not a coincidence. Start farming Saurians now, even if you aren't building anyone yet. You will need thousands of these things.
Local specialty farming routes — the efficient order
Withering Purpurbloom (Mavuika + Citlali): Start at the Stadium of the Sacred Flame waypoint. There are three clusters along the cliff edges on the east side of the stadium, about 12 blooms total. Then teleport to the Masters of the Night-Wind settlement (northeast Natlan) and follow the cliffs south. Another 8-10 blooms. The longest stretch is the canyon floor below the Scions of the Canopy village — follow the water from the northwest entrance down to the waterfall, grabbing the blooms on the canyon walls. Total per run: about 35-40 blooms. Reset time: 48 hours. For one character you need roughly 5 runs spread over 10 days.
Brilliant Chrysanthemum (Xilonen + Kachina): These grow on cliff faces in the Tepeacac Rise area (Children of Echoes territory). The densest cluster is around the cavern entrance waypoint — fly a circle around the rock spires and you'll grab about 25 per run. There's a secondary cluster on the cliffs east of the Ancestral Temple, another 10-12. Two runs of 48h each gets you enough for one character.
Sprayfeather Gill (Mualani): Underwater. In the Ameyalco Waters (People of the Springs territory). The gills grow on submerged rocks and coral formations. The most efficient route: start at the southern waterway entrance, swim north along the river collecting gills, then cut east through the underground lake. You need the Koholasaurus indwelling for the underwater currents that speed up travel. Without it, this farm is painful. One loop takes about 7 minutes and yields 25-30 gills.
Quenepa Berries (Kinich): Found on bushes in the Tezcatepetonco Range (Scions of the Canopy territory). The berries grow in clusters of 3-4 on bushes scattered across the mountain slopes. Flight-capable saurian (Qucusaurus) indwelling makes this farm trivial because most bushes are on ledges. There are about 45 berries total on the map. One full clear is half of what you need.
Dracaua Bat Flower (Chasca + Iansan): These hang from cave ceilings in the Ochkanatlan region (Mictlan territory). Bring a bow character to shoot them down because climbing to each one takes forever. The largest cluster is in the Mictlan underground cavern — about 18 flowers hanging from the ceiling. Teleport between the two cave entrances for the fastest rotation. Reset is 48 hours.
The Saurian genocide route (you need about 2000 teeth)
Every Natlan character needs Saurian Teeth. Each character requires about 180 gray teeth equivalents (green/blue teeth can be crafted down at the alchemy table: 1 blue = 3 green). Given how many characters share this material, you want a route that maximizes teeth per minute.
The best loop I've found: Start at the Ancestral Temple northern waypoint. Clear the Tepetlisaurs (underground geovishap-type saurians) in the outer ring — about 15 saurians, mix of gray and green drops. Then teleport to the Sulfurous Veins waypoint and clear the Koholasaurs along the river (12-15 saurians). Finish at the Scions of the Canopy treehouse waypoint — the Yumkasaurs on the platforms around the village are tightly packed, about 18-20 of them.
Total loop time: 8 minutes. Average drops: 25-30 gray, 8-12 green, 1-3 blue. Do this loop 3-4 times per day (enemies respawn in 12 hours) and you'll have enough teeth for one character in about 4 days of casual farming.
If you have Sucrose or Kazuha, bring them. Their grouping skills pull the tooth drops into one pile so you don't have to run around picking up individual drops. This saves maybe 30 seconds per loop, which adds up.
Elemental gemstone strategy — don't farm world bosses for gems
This is the mistake I made. I killed the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant 23 times for Mavuika's ascension and ended up with way more Agnidus Agate than I needed and not enough of other gems for other characters.
The correct strategy: Farm your character's required boss for the ascension material (the unique boss drop they need). The gems you get from the boss will cover about half of what you need. For the remaining gems, use Dust of Azoth from the Stardust shop to convert excess gems from other elements. Everyone has a pile of unused Cryo and Electro gems from weekly bosses. Convert those.
One Dust of Azoth costs 5 Stardust. You need about 30-40 Dust to convert enough gems for one character's final ascension. That's 150-200 Stardust, which is less than two 4-star pulls. Way more efficient than spending 40 resin per world boss run just for gems.
The one-day 1→90 plan (resin-optimized)
If you've prefarmed all materials and have 5 condensed resin saved up:
1. Kill the world boss 4 times (160 resin) — gets you the 4 boss drops needed for ascension 6
2. Clear one Ley Line Outcrop for Mora (20 resin) — level 90 costs about 700k Mora total
3. Use the remaining 20 resin on another boss kill if you're short on gems
If you're doing this from scratch with zero prefarmed materials: it's about 5-7 days. The local specialties are the bottleneck (48h respawn timer). Everything else can be farmed in a day.
